Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) employees belong to the CalPERS Medical Program. Open Enrollment is held during the month of September. Dental and Life Insurance premiums are paid for by the County Office for employees in CSEA. All other employees pay for these benefits out of their salaries.
Employees in the California School Employees Association (CSEA) receive a monthly, in addition to their published salaries, to help offset the cost of medical benefits. All other employees pay their own medical plan costs. Click here for 2019 medical rate plans offered.

ACOE employees also receive a life insurance policy through either The Standard Insurance Company or MetLife.
