Quest Academy

Quest Academy offers students in Alameda County a dynamic alternative to traditional classroom instruction through a standards-based daily and independent study program. Independent Study is an instructional strategy that is based on a contractual agreement between the teacher, the student, and the parents/guardians. 

Quest Academy Independent Study is available to students in grades 7-12 in Alameda County. Students may be referred by Probation or by school districts. For more information contact Quest Academy at (510) 670-7610.

Student Enrollment

Students are referred to ACOE Schools through their school district of residence, child welfare agency or the probation department. Enrollment is for one semester to a calendar year and may be extended.

To Enroll in Quest Academy:

  1. Download and or Print the Quest Enrollment Packet and referral form
  2. Complete the Quest Enrollment packet and be sure to include both the parent and student's signatures.
  3. Email the enrollment packet and completed Referral Form to spasenrollment@acoe.org

A Message from the Superintendent

Student Eligibility

School districts have primary responsibility for serving the students in their communities. ACOE supports students who can’t be served by a district or who need special programs not offered in their district, including: expelled youth, students on formal probation, students under the supervision of child welfare, foster youth, and students on informal probation for attendance or behavior problems.
