Butler Academic Center is a fully accredited compulsory educational program for youth detained in Alameda County's Juvenile Justice Center. Upon completion of their high school diploma or GED, youth have the opportunity to earn transferable college credits via online courses through a partnership with Merritt College.

Camp Wilmont Sweeney is a compulsory minimum-security residential program for adolescent males, ages 15-19, detained in Alameda County's Juvenile Justice Center.
