The Alameda County Office of Education is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all users regardless of ability. We recognize the importance and are continually working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website.
Our website should be in compliance with Section 504 and Title II of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 504 requires equal access and communication of electronic information and data so that it is accessible to everyone. ACOE is utilizing the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 - 2.1 A, AA to meet the requirements of Section 504.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Any other mentions in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. If you wish to be removed from receiving future communications, you can opt out by texting STOP.
SMS Terms & Conditions
Program Overview
Community members who opt in via a GCGI signup form or by texting "Start" to a GCGI SMS number will receive messages from the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) Green Careers Guidance Initiative (GCGI) about topics that may include information about upcoming trainings for students or staff, employment options, or educational programs and offers of support to pursue those opportunities.
Message Frequency
You will receive group messages at a typical rate of once per month. Individual message exchanges you initiate with a GCGI staff member are in addition to that.
Opt-Out Instructions
To stop receiving messages, you may unsubscribe at any time by replying with the keyword STOP. After sending this message, you will receive a confirmation SMS, and no further messages will be sent to you. To rejoin, text START to any of our dedicated SMS numbers.

Title IX Regulations
"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance."

New regulations under Title IX include sexual harassment. The Alameda County Office of Education is committed to providing an education environment free of unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature including sexual advances, requests for sexual favor, and other verbal or physical conduct or communications constituting sexual harassment, as defined and otherwise prohibited by state and federal law.
