Teacher Intern Partnership
for Education Specialists (PK-3 and Deaf and Hard of Hearing)
The Teacher Intern Partnership Program offers both Deaf and Hard of Hearing and PK-3 Services credentials through the San Diego County Office of Education. This two-year credentialing program allows candidates to work as the teacher of record while engaging in graduate-level coursework, one-on-one coaching, and onsite mentorship to become fully credentialed.

This program is designed for individuals who are interested in being the teacher of record in a district while earning a Deaf-Hard of Hearing Education Specialist or PK-3 Services Credential. The ideal candidates are those who:

Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will receive a Preliminary Mild/Moderate or Extensive Teaching Credential.
Yes, commit to 3 years of teaching in an Alameda County public school after credential is awarded.
Our partnership program lasts two years.
The coursework is primarily asynchronous and virtual, allowing participants to complete it at their own pace.
Coaching is provided on-site to support participants' growth
The total cost of the program is $1,000. This is broken down into $500 per year or $75 a month!
