For all School Staff
Counseling students to join the skilled trades is a complex process that can include a combination of community college, pre-apprenticeship programs, apprenticeship programs, and direct entry employment opportunities.
We provide guidance resources, professional development, to support guidance staff in this process. See below to get access to these resources and opportunities.
Guidance Resources Professional Development
Additionally, some districts and schools have partnered with ACOE to create dedicated positions for expert Green Career Guides to work directly with their students. If additional schools or districts would like to partner with ACOE to fund and hire a career guide, please email gcgi@acoe.org to start the planning process.
For GCGI Partner Schools:
If you are at an official GCGI partner school with a dedicated GCGI / Trades Career Guide (either and ACOE employee, or an identified school/district employee) you can refer students who are interested in pursuing the skilled trades to receive direct guidance support using the form below.
